WHY CHOOSE A THREAD LIFT?
-
BEST TREATMENT FOR SAGGING AND JOWLS - The thread lift is a great solution for lifting sagging facial skin, neck and jowls
-
NON-SURGICAL FACELIFT - Subtle non-surgical facelift with minimal downtime. Threads are biodegradable, naturally dissolving over time.
-
IMMEDIATE AND ONGOING RESULTS - Immediately visible lift and skin improvement over time.
-
LONG LASTING -Natural-looking results lasting from 18 months with the additional benefit of increased collagen production for long-lasting facial rejuvenation.
WHAT IS A PDO THREAD LIFT?
A PDO Thread Lift is a non-surgical procedure to lift sagging skin and improve the appearance of the skin, an innovative procedure to rejuvenate and regenerate the skin. This is an ideal treatment when you are too young to consider surgery or simply do not want surgery. Consisting in the use of polydioxanone which is a potent synthetic fibre that dissolves after time in the tissue. Its is a minimal invasive procedure that is gentler than Silhouette Soft Lift .
Polydioxanone is a material that has been used in medicine for many years to assist with wound healing. Polydioxanone stimulates the tissue through a process called neocollagenesis which causes the skin to produce collagen (the protein responsible for the tension and firmness) in addition it stimulates the fibroblast skin cells to produce elastin ( the protein responsible for skin elasticity).
The needle is inserted to the subcutaneous of SMAS layer of the skin, and when the needle taken out, the threads remain, implanted in the skin. Insertion of dozens of needles to the deeper layer of the skin with absorbable threads activates their natural regenerative process and mechanical stimulation of wound healing and tissue contraction.
WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR PDO THREADS?
The best candidate for PDO Threads are men and women who are beginning to experience the appearance of wrinkles on the forehead, sagging of the mid–face and lower face/neck areas.
CAN PDO BE USED ALONGSIDE OTHER AESTHETIC PROCEDURES?
The benefits of PDO Threads are best when combined with other therapies, to deliver the optimal result. This includes PRP, dermal fillers, botox and fractional laser treatment.
WHICH AREAS ARE MOST EFFECTIVELY TREATED BY PDO THREADS?
For the face, this would be the nasolabial fold, jaw line , cheek, double chin zones and neck.
For the body, we have seen the most visible results with arms, thighs and abdomen correction.
HOW LONG DO THE RESULTS USUALLY LAST FOR?
It varies depending on the patent‘s age at the time, degree of sagging and number of threads used. The result of a single procedure normally lasts for at least 10 months, but 2 further treatments could extend the result to approximately 18 months..
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?
PDO is a very safe procedure and complications are extremately rare. Minor complications may include temporal swelling and bruising. Patients may feel slight tightness or a pulling sensation immediately following the treatment but this diminishes over a relatively short period of time.
WHO SHOULD PERFORM THE PDO TREATMENT?
Only trained professionals who have attended the full PDO training course are certificated to perform this procedure.
