WHAT IS BODY PDO THREADS?
Body PDO Threads are tensing threads to stimulate the production of collagen to treat body flaccidity from the inside, as well as rejuvenating thigh, abdomen and arms skin without surgery or general anaesthetic. Polydioxanone is a resorbable and completely compatible material, widely used in cardiac surgery, for its cell cohesion capacity.

WHAT IS PDO THREAD LIFT?
A PDO Thread Lift is an innovative procedure to rejuvenate and regenerate the skin. Consisting in the use of polydioxanone which is a potent synthetic fibre that dissolve after certain time in the tissue. Its is a minimally invasive procedure. Polydioxanone (PDO) is a material that has been used in medicine for many years to assist with wound healing. Polydioxanone stimulates the tissue neocollagenesis process which cause the skin produces collagen (the protein responsible for the tension and firmness) in addition it stimulates the fibroblast skin cells to produce elastin (the protein responsible for skin elasticity).
THE BENEFITS OF BODY PDO THREAD TREATMENT
PDO threads offer a non-surgical alternative to more traditional methods of skin tightening. This means a short recovery period and a much more affordable way to achieve effective results. In addition, no incision is required which removes the risk of scarring following the procedure.

PDO thread treatment is a minimally-invasive procedure which effectively lifts and tightens the skin. Each treatment is tailor made for the patient and Dr Aguilar will discuss options and potential results with you to create a treatment which reflects your goals.
Dr. Aguilar will carefully insert a selection of medical-grade PDO threads (or sutures) using a fine needle or cannula. The threads are then tightened whilst in place. In addition to the immediate mechanical lift to the treated area, as the sutures dissolve they trigger the specific cells (fibroblasts) to produce more collagen, leading to a more youthful appearance and increased elasticity while further tightening areas of loose skin.
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?
PDO is a very safe procedure and complications are extremately rare. Minor complications may include temporal swelling and bruising. Patients may feel slight tightness or a pulling sensation immediately following the treatment but this diminishes over a relatively short period of time.
