What is Silhouette Soft Face Lift?
Silhouette Soft is a treatment with double lift and regenerating collagen effect. Its main component, polylactic acid is entirely biodegradable and absorbable, and has been used for many years in various medical fields such as cardiology. This is a non-surgical procedure to lift sagging skin and improve the appearance of the skin. Silhouette Soft was developed in the USA, based on experience in suture suspension with cones it is used in reconstructive surgery. This is an ideal treatment when you are too young to consider surgery or simply do not want surgery. Whilst permanent threads have been in existence for two decades (Aptos) with the Silhouette Soft the threads are fully absorbable and requires no incisions or stitches. Silhouette Soft has a lifting effect due to the cones which pull up the skin and hold it in place. This treatment also has a regenerative effect which comes from the polylactic acid stimulating the production of new collagen after the treatment has been carried out. It is this collagen that helps to tighten the skin. These effects are more noticeable after 3 months and last up to 18 months. It is a good alternative for patients that want to improve their appearance but don´t want to undergo a surgical facelift, especially in the lower third of the face and neck. There is a marked improvement to the definition of the jaw and an immediate lift of the sagging skin, but the result improves with time, especially the changes to the quality of the skin. After the procedure, it is normal to experience some swelling , bruising and redness on the face. It is also possible that some wrinkling to the area may occur but all these symptoms disappear after a short time.
